After a break, I finished the May Paletteful Packs After a break, I finished the May Paletteful Packs art! 🎨 I love watercolours but don't have much experience with them, so I'm always a bit scared of using them, especially for an actual artwork, rather than just sketches and exercises. But, here is my attempt at a May Paletteful prompt: Flower 🌸 (an apple blossom, to be specific 🙂). I must say I'm incredibly impressed with both the paper I got to use and especially the paints - their quality is insane! I did not expect such beautiful, rich colours and stunning look after drying out. A while ago I read an article about this gorgeous creature living in @lighthousefarmsanctuary and I was so touched by it I decided to paint her! Back then I was defeated by the hay so I haven't finished the painting for about 2 years but now I come to you with the finished painting :) The painting will take part in my gallery show soon and it will be for sale there or I'll put it up later in my Ko-fi shop if no one buys it. I think people and the world really need those after recent years' happenings. Last one from delayed Paletteful arts is finished! Last one from delayed Paletteful arts is finished! Now this one is a bit tricky and needs a bit of an explanation... It's a Paletteful Packs December 2021 box art with prompt "Ornament". Contents of the pack were Copic Sketch Markers and Marabu Graphix markers. I drew my lineart and started coloring it but in the middle I realized I don't like how the colours are coming out so decided to do something else: since I've already had some Copic markers I decided to use different shades of the colours I got to match my drawing better. A table of what I've got in the Pack vs. what I've used instead you can see when you swipe 👉(sorry for the print quality, I think I'm running out of ink Some of the markers I've got - I used, some I replaced completely. I love alcohol-based markers but evidently, I'm not really good at using them but I think I've learned some things while working on this drawing and I think this is the point of the whole thing 😊 I wanted to fix the drawing with colour pencils but then it would be even further from the original Pack so in the end, I've decided not to use pencils and leave the drawing as it is.
